RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: To know the needs and lack of information on health issues of Maghrebi women. SUBJECTS, MATERIAL AND METHOD: Design: Qualitative study technique nominal group (TGN). SUBJECTS: 14 North African women from Association for Solidarity and Rapprochement of Cultures (ASAC) from the rural clinic of La Aljorra who knew and understood Spanish, older age, and lived in the town for more than 3 years. Material and method TGN asks: «What daily health issues for you and your family worry you the most and do you need answers?¼ Individual reflection and list that were discussed among them, joining the group consensus. Subsequently, they were prioritized individually and a definitive list of their prioritized health needs was made. RESULTS: Thirty-six percent of the ASAC associates attended. At first, 17 topics were written on health needs for which they wanted a response. The final topics chosen and grouped by them were 6: 1) Contraceptive methods; 2) Relationship problems; 3) Thyroid; 4) How to cure the sciatic nerve?; 5) Anemia and 6) Stress. 70% related to the area of sexuality. CONCLUSIONS: 1) Qualitative research is an adequate consensus method to obtain information on little-known topics and directly from the person involved; 2) The Moroccan migrant woman considers information about sexuality and couple relationships very important; 3) Another pathology unknown to them and emerging in the area is thyroid; 4) Stress and its repercussions; 5) Sciatica and its consequences are also important when being agricultural workers.

RESUMO

Prioritizing corresponds to the process of selecting and managing health needs identified after diagnosing the community's health needs and assets. Recently, the health needs assessment has been reinforced with the community perspective, providing multiple benefits: it sensitizes and empowers the community about their health, encourages mutual support among its members and promotes their importance by making them responsible for the process of improving their own reality. The objective of this paper is to describe the prioritization of Barcelona Salut als Barris, a community health strategy led by the Barcelona Public Health Agency to promote equity in health in the most disadvantaged neighborhoods of the city.

Introducción: La calidad en la atención que se le brinda a la población anciana, es un aspecto de impostergable importancia. Objetivo: Determinar la satisfacción respecto a los servicios estomatológicos en el policlínico Tomás Romay, desde las opiniones de un grupo de ancianos. Materiales y Métodos: Se realizó una investigación descriptiva, de corte transversal, con 216 ancianos de ambos sexos, pertenecientes a dos consultorios, del mencionado policlínico capitalino. La información se recogió a través de un cuestionario autoadministrado, la que fue analizada con la utilización de métodos estadísticos descriptivos. Desde el punto de vista ético, los pacientes tuvieron la total libertad de aceptar o no su participación en el estudio. Resultados: De los encuestados, 55,6 por ciento eran mujeres. El motivo de consulta más frecuente se relacionó con el área de prótesis (38,8 por ciento). Los entrevistados plantean como principales deficiencias, la escasez de recursos materiales, inestabilidad del personal y, sobre todo, prolongado tiempo de espera para ser atendidos. Conclusiones: Independientemente de las deficiencias señaladas por los encuestados, la mayoría considera sentirse satisfecho con la atención recibida(AU)


Introduction: Care quality that is provide to the elderly population, is an important and unpostponable issue. Objective: To determine the satisfaction of dental services in Tomas Romay polyclinic from the opinions of an elderly group. Materials and Methods: Was performed a descriptive, cross-section research, to 216 elderly men and women, belonging to two doctor´s office of the aforementioned polyclinic. The information was collected through a self-administered questionnaire that was analyzed using descriptive statistics methods. From an ethical point of view, patients had a complete freedom to accept or not their participation in the study.Results: Of the polles, 55.6 percent were women. The most frequent reason of assistance to the consulting room was related with prosthesis service ​​ (38.8 percent). Interviewee stated as major deficiencies, the lack of material resources, lack of personnel and mainly, the lengthy queuing time to be served.Conclusions: Regardless of the unsatisfactoriness identified by polles, most people consider being satisfied with care receive(AU)

RESUMO

O conceito de necessidades é central no trabalho de Enfermagem. A Teoria das Necessidades Humanas Básicas, formulada por Wanda Horta, influenciou várias gerações de enfermeiras brasileiras e, possivelmente, ainda é a mais presente no ensino e na prática de Enfermagem no Brasil. Entretanto, há outras concepções de necessidades que podem iluminar o trabalho em saúde que, em geral, está organizado para responder a essas necessidades por meio da oferta de serviços padronizados, verticais e prescritivos. Ressignificar o cuidado em saúde e, em especial, os projetos cuidativos da Enfermagem à luz das necessidades em saúde da população requer adotar uma concepção de saúde e doença capaz de interligar aspectos individuais e coletivos.


The concept of needs is central to the work of Nursing. The Basic Human Needs Theory, formulated by Wanda Horta, influenced several generations of Brazilian nurses and possibly still is the most widespread in education and nursing practice in Brazil. However, there are other conceptions of needs that can illuminate health work that is, in general, organized to meet health needs through standardized, vertical and prescriptive service offerings. Reframing health care, specially nursing carative projects, demands to adopt a concept of health and disease capable of linking individual and collective aspects.


El concepto de necesidades es fundamental para el trabajo de Enfermería. La Teoría de las Necesidades Humanas Básicas, formulada por Wanda Horta, ha influenciado a varias generaciones de enfermeras brasileñas y, posiblemente, es el más usado en la práctica y en la educación de enfermería en Brasil. Sin embargo, hay otras concepciones de las necesidades que pueden iluminar el trabajo en salud que, en general, se organiza para satisfacer las necesidades de salud a través de ofertas de servicios estandarizados, verticales y prescriptivos. El replanteamiento del cuidado en salud, especialmente los procesos cuidativos de Enfermería, demanda adoptar un concepto de salud y la enfermedad capaz de vincular aspectos individuales y colectivos.

Introducción: El envejecimiento de la población es una realidad del presente, lo cual obliga al sistema de salud, a adoptar estrategias dirigidas a cubrir la calidad de la atención a los adultos mayores. Entre las demandas de esta población se ubican los servicios estomatológicos. Objetivo: Determinar las opiniones de los usuarios de 60 años y más, en relación con las principales dificultades que ellos le atribuyen a los servicios estomatológicos del municipio Playa. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y exploratorio. Se aplicó un cuestionario a 116 usuarios de los servicios estomatológicos del municipio Playa, quienes asistieron a consulta el día en que fue visitado dicho centro. La información se analizó con el software SPSS 11.5, y como estadígrafos se utilizaron los propios de la estadística descriptiva. Resultados: De los 116 usuarios entrevistados (mayores de 60 años), el 54,3 porciento eran mujeres. El motivo de consulta más frecuente se relacionó con el área de prótesis (32,8 porciento). Los entrevistados plantean como principales deficiencias, el déficit de personal técnico y asistencial (85,3 porciento); solo el 5,7 porciento refirió escasez de recursos materiales. Conclusiones: La escasez de recursos humanos, se convierte en una necesidad que atenta contra la calidad de la atención estomatológica, a las personas de 60 y más años, del municipio Playa


Introduction: People aging is a current reality, which oblige health service to adopt strategies aimed to cover the quality of life of elderly. Among the requests of this population are located in the stomatology services. Objective: To determine the criteria of elderly aged over 60, in relation to the major difficulties attributable to stomatology services in the Playa municipality. Methods: An exploratory and descriptive study. A questionnaire was applied in 116 users of stomatology services of the Playa municipality who came to consultation the visit day to this center. Information was analyzed using the SPSS 11.5 software and as statistical process we used the own of descriptive statistics. Results: From the 116 users interviewed (aged over 60), the 54.3 percent were women. The more frequent consultation reason was related to prosthesis area (32.8 percent). The interviewed users propose as main deficiencies the lack of technical and assistance staff (85.3 percent); only the 5.7 percent referred a lack of material resources. Conclusions: The lack of human resources becomes a need attempt against the quality of Stomatology care for persons aged 60 and more from the Playa municipality

Objetivo: Caracterizar, en cuanto a la demanda atendida, la prestación del servicio de odontología el estado de salud Bucal, la necesidad de atención y la oferta en una Empresa Social de Estado del Municipio de Cali. Materiales y Métodos: Se realizó un estudio Observacional – descriptivo transversal, en un momento determinado y de manera retrospectiva, se evaluaron las acciones ejecutadas durante un año por los servicios de salud Oral en una red de salud. Se incluyeron 669 pacientes que ingresaron a los servicios de odontología. Adicionalmente se caracterizó la oferta de servicios de cada institución. Resultados: La mediana de edad fue de 22 años (± 14). El 91.9% (336) de la población presentaban al menos un diagnostico de enfermedad bucal, el promedio de dientes cariados fue de 5.7 (± 3.7) dientes perdidos fue de 2.5 (± 5) dientes obturados de 2.1 (± 3.4). El promedio en días para iniciar tratamiento fue de 18 días (± 32). El promedio de días de “tiempo total de trabajo” fue alrededor de 45.3 días.Conclusiones: El 91.9% (336) de la población presentaban al menos un diagnostico de enfermedad bucal. El 85.3% de la población tuvo su ultima atención hace más de 6 meses, perdiendo el seguimiento a riesgo que se debería de presentar. Al caracterizar la población que no regreso al servicio se encontró que eran los más enfermos y los que mayor necesidades en todas las áreas de atención presentaban.


Objective: To characterize a service of oral health under the attended demand, the state of bucal health, necessity of attention and the offer of Cali`s health services. Materials and Methods: An observational, descriptive study was performed to assessed an evaluation of quality of dental services, the actions of a period of time (12 months) the services of Oral health in a net of health. 669 patients were included. Additionally the offer of services of the institution was characterized. Results: The medium of age was of 22 years (± 14). 91.9% (336) of the population presented at least one diagnose of bucal illness, the average of tooth decay was of 5.7 (± 3.7), tooth lost was of 2.5 (± 5), tooth fixed of 2.1 teeth (± 3.4). The average in days to begin treatment was of 18 days (± 32). The average of days of total time of work was around 45.3 days, the average of the appointments was of 2.9 (±2.1). Conclusions: I found that 91.9% (336) of population showed injuries. When characterizing the population that doesn’t return to the service it was found that they were the sickest and those that more necessities in all the areas of attention presented.
